We made a grocery list, went out and bought the booze for margaritas, AND the glasses, and made a bucket of margarita. We were really excited about going, but unfortunately couldn&#8217;t. I had to speak at a conference at Champlain, and then both Giovanna and I had to present at ITS Capstone Poster Session (which was mandatory) so it was a pretty busy day. In the long run, we couldn&#8217;t go due to requirements for us. This year, graduation is a LITTLE BIT more of a priority over Springfest, but we hope all of you that went stayed dry and had fun! I bought the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Official-Vermont-Maple-Cookbook-promotion/dp/1880327430" title="Official Vermont Maple Cookbook" target="_blank">Official Vermont Maple Cookbook</a> and we picked out some recipes. We ended up making Maple and Orange Glazed Chicken, Maple Dumplings, Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes, and Maple Mashed Potatoes. SO DELICIOUS! Although, I would not recommend making all the maple products together — it’s an extremely sweet dinner. But each one as a separate side is excellent. Neither of us had been up there before, and we were surprised at the size of the place! There weren&#8217;t many people (granted, we got there before 11 so there would be no cover) and our drink was good. We were expecting different music though &#8212; I wanted the whole Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boy experience. Instead, it was mostly old-school Ja Rule, and 50 Cent, which don&#8217;t get me wrong, that isn&#8217;t bad. Basically, I was hoping to be a 90&#8217;s pop nerd, but instead they actually played 90&#8217;s rap and hip hop songs.
