VERMONT COOKIE CREATIONS!!!! So delicious! Ordering cookies online? NO WAY! Where else can you have homemade, freshly baked cookies delivered to your house? We can’t believe we haven’t tried this sooner…
We went to the Magic Hat Artifactory this weekend! Very cool place…it was interesting to hear the back story of how the brewery started and see how far it’s come. Free beer tasting and wandering around the store commenced afterwards…bought a couple pint glasses to add to the collection!
So Giovanna and I have lived in Burlington for nearly 4 years now, and we have never been to The Skinny Pancake..uhm, WHAT? Yeah, I know. Well, we made our first trip down there on Tuesday evening for dinner, and can I just say, YUM. Giovanna got the Johnny Crêpe (Winding Brook Farm pulled pork, braised in a sweet Rookie’s Root beer BBQ sauce with caramelized onions and Cabot cheddar cheese folded into a corn meal crêpe) and I got the Cheesy Pesto Crêpe with Chicken (House-made basil-sunflower seed pesto, shredded Cabot cheddar cheese and Maple Brook Farm fresh mozzarella warmed in a savory crêpe). After that, we were craving something sweet, so Giovanna got another with Nutella and I got one with Nutella and strawberries. SO delish.
It’s Mardi Gras in Burlington!!! This year Corrie volunteered as a Block Leader (that’s what the red tshirt was for), and I was Float Patrol/Crowd Control (anyone in a yellow tshirt). The parade started at 3 PM but we had to be at the City Hall building on Church Street at 1:45 for our orientation. After we received our tshirts, beads, and parade zone, we walked down to the corner and of Main and South Champlain Streets to take our positions!
